Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in our world. In this country at the edge of the Sahara desert, people live in extreme poverty. Most of them live without electricity or running water, or a decent home. Attending school is neither compulsory nor free. In fact more than 80% of the population cannot read or write. However, we believe that another world is possible. That’s why since 2006 we help the children of one slum of the capital, Ouagadougou, attend school. This only costs 32 euros a year. And a child learns to read and write, add and subtract, draw and sing. And we change one life.

Burkina Faso és un dels països més pobres del món. En aquest país als peus del desert del Sàhara, la gent viu en la misèria. La majoria d’ells sense ni aigua ni llum, ni un habitatge digne. L’escola no és ni obligatòria ni gratuïta, de fet més del 80% de la població no sap ni llegir ni escriure. Però nosaltres creiem que un altre món és possible. Per això, des del 2006 ajudem a que els nens d’un dels barris marginals de la capital, Ouagadougou, vagin a l’escola. Això només val 32 euros a l’any. I un nen/a aprèn a llegir, escriure, sumar i restar, dibuixar i cantar. I canviem una vida.
